To be one in love

It is said that when a relationship is sacred, there is "me", there is "you", and there is the third invisible element that holds us together. Who is that "one" that is felt when we love one another deeply? It is the divine, the sacred, the invisible friend who comes and magnetizes our hearts. And what is beyond the one? That is the deepest mystery.

How do we cultivate this invisible presence? When we remember that our relationship is sacred and our every action and thought toward one another honors this deep mystery, the "one" establishes itself immediately. "You" and "I" are by the side of the Beloved (God), our greatest teacher and the deepest mystery. Everything is subordinate to the master, to the Beloved, even this "oneness" that brings us union and nourishes our relating.

Perhaps the Beloved invented us to play a game of courtship with itself - the better lovers we are, the stronger love becomes. When love is strong there are no boundaries and separations, just a Blessed Union. That is the final teaching of the Beloved
